Looking for age-appropriate educational materials? I’m here to help! Here is my philosophy when it comes to teaching the neurodivergent folks I love to work with.

MY CURRICULUM PHILOSOPHY

I enjoy creating activities and lessons that students can repeat frequently in order to hone their skills! While there is a place for “one and done” lessons, I don’t rely on them in my classroom. My classes are social based and I encourage students to participate during class like they are having a conversation with me. I always include built in “checking for understanding” questions, new vocabulary, preview, review, class practice, models and then individual practice throughout my lessons.

If you ever have a curriculum need, please send me a message!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Neurodivergent Transition Specialist with over 13 years of experience in the Special Education field. I focus on creating materials for BUSY teachers who want easy, low to no prep lessons and activities. Many parents and adult aides have used my resources as well!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I currently teach in and oversee a self-contained transition program for 18-22 year old students with moderate to severe needs. Teaching life skills and vocational skills to students as they prepare to transition into adulthood is a joy! I hope that my curriculum can serve people across all ability and age ranges.

SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I cofounded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, teaching neurodiverse adults the communication, social, and musical skills necessary to play in rock bands together, called the MUSE FOUNDATION. My passion to serve the ADULT disability community drove me to begin this endeavor!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my Master’s in Special Education with an Applied Behavioral Analysis Certificate and a Transition Endorsement. I am a Nationally Certified Transition Specialist!
